Part vessel, part stoneware art. This handmade ceramic oil cruet is wheel-thrown from durable stoneware and hand-carved with Indian Paintbrush in bloom beneath Rocky Mountain peaks, then glazed in layers of cloudy blue, sunset pink, toasted sage that shift with the light.
Made to live on the counter rather than hide in a cabinet — a quiet piece of the Colorado high country within arm's reach while you cook, bringing the calm of the natural world into your kitchen.
Every cruet is thrown and carved individually, so no two are ever exactly alike.

CARE
Handwashing recommended however this piece is dishwasher safe. Dishwasher detergents are abrasive over time and can dull the glaze — a few extra seconds at the sink keeps this piece beautiful for a lifetime.

I was the youngest by 30 years…
In 2017 my husband talked me into taking a ceramics class at the local Active Adult Center. Silver Sneakers met across the hall. I was the youngest person there by about three decades, and I learned from those folks about clay, and about not rushing something that isn't ready. I've spent the years since refining the craft.
Ashley Santoo Studio opened in 2024. I still make everything myself — thrown on the wheel, carved by hand, glazed one drop at a time.
